Bryan

A surprise phone call today from Bryan, my dear son. He is asking advice - well there is a first time for everything. He and Marie are wanting to get married and are wanting to know the practical aspects. e.g. did i know of any reasonable venues in Durham for a reception. Did I think they should wait until they can afford to. Well we can never afford to get married (LOL)
They have been together for about 7 years now and living together for most of that time. They are now thinking of November 22nd (dads birthday) for getting hitched. Not long to organise things so don't know what is going to happen. - Watch this space.

Patch's quilt

Patch's new quilt. The material came yesterday morning and I could not wait to get started. He loves it and wanted to help me make it.

Leslie and Chris came round this week for a dollmaking day. We decided to make witch dolls ready for halloween. We got on quite well, not quite finished but well on.

Misty

What a a wonderful walk I had with Patch this morning. It was very misty when we set out but by the time we were coming home the sun had broken through. I love this time of year and indeed this time of the morning.

The dew made everything sparkle, especially the spiders webs. Soooooooooo beautiful.

In places it looked as if the bushes had been covered with a shimmering blanket. I had taken a couble of pictures but my battery died. just like the thing. A pity as would have loved to get pics of the bushes.
